Double promotion for Academy in Manchester League

Two Stockport Table Tennis Academy teams secure promotion to dvision one and two in the Manchester & District League.
Comprised on entirely junior players, two Stockport teams have secured promotion in the Manchester League, finishing second in division two and first in division three.
Will Gregson (11), Ahab Isaac(14) , Reuben Holiday(15) and William Hoyle (13) will now compete in the first division of the Manchester & District League during the 2015-16 season, which starts in September.
The youngest member of the team, William Gregson, is just eleven years old, but already one of the most experienced players on the team. He is currently ranked in the top 50 u13s nationally and has represented the North West at the U11 National Championships.
William Hoyle played much of the season on one of Stockport's third division teams, with Elliott Tamatave (13) and Shonal Kapoor (15), helping them to win the divison and secure promotion to the second. For the 2015-16 season William Hoyle now cements his place in the first team, opening the door other Academy players on the second team.
The same team also secured promtotion in the Lancashire & Cheshire Junior League from the first division to the premier division and will test themselves during the 2015-16 season against the region's top junior players.

Head Coach, David Hulme, said: "Gaining promotion was especially remarkable as it's only the second full season that the boys have competed in the Manchester league, and they are all under sixteen years old. Each of the players has trained hard all season; they can be very proud of their success. Many congratulations to all of the Academy players on their success this season."
The Manchester & District League has three divisions, comprising 25 table tennis teams from across the Manchester area. The full league tables and results for the 2014-15 season in the Manchester League are available online.
The Lancashire & Cheshire Junior League has two divisons made up of junior teams representing the many different leagues across the region.
Stockport Table Tennis Academy has four teams in the Manchester League and supports the Manchester League's teams in the Lancashire & Cheshire league. The Academy is currently recruiting new junior beginners, aged seven-twelve years old who wish to learn the game and potentially go on to play in its teams.
