Stockport Table Tennis Academy junior, William Hoyle, won the U15s Plate at the Blackpool Junior Open this weekend.
"William fully deserved his success at the Junior Open having made a positive start to 2014-15 season," explained head coach David Hulme.
"William has shown strong progress since joining the Academy in 2013. He's trained hard since the start of the season and has impressed in both local league matches and regional tournaments."
Thirteen year-old Hoyle started playing competitive table tennis during the 2013-14 season and in just a short space of time has made his mark at the region's Junior Open tournaments. William also plays for Stockport in the National Cadet and Junior leagues and Manchester & District League.
William is next in action in the National Cadet League's opening matchday at Halton on 9 November, playing in Stockport Table Tennis Academy's A team alongside teammates Ahab Isaac and William Gregson.
Also in action at the Blackpool Junior Open this weekend were Academy players William Gregson, who made it through to the semi finals in the under 13s and Anushka Acharya, who finished runner up in the under 11s Plate.
