Liam has great table tennis day

Newly formed Stockport Table Tennis Academy made their first ever appearance in the National Cadet League played at The Halton Table Tennis Centre in Widnes. Stockport team comprising of Liam Laurence (13) and sister Rio (9), Alex Fynn (11) and brother Chris (8) all combined to produce some super results for Stockport.
This competition is for youngster’s boys and girls wanting to move on from fun table tennis to competition table tennis where they can experience the thrill and excitement! of competing against other junior teams from around the northwest.
Stockport Academy gained wins against Warrington ‘C’, Anfield ‘B’ and Rhyll Community Club all by 7 games to 3, losing to Ramsbotton and Anfield ‘A’ teams. The star of the Stockport team was Liam Laurence who went all day only losing two matches. His sister Rio and brothers Alex and Chris also contributed to the days wins bearing in mind how young these players are head coach David Hulme said “The future for junior table tennis in Stockport looks rosy.
