There were some exciting table tennis matches on display at day four of the National Cadet League held at Halton Table Tennis Centre in Widnes. Stockport Table Tennis Academy fielding their youngest side ever in the league achieved some super performances from Liam Laurence (14), Alex Fynn (12), Chris Fynn (8) and William Gregson (8). In only their first season of competition wins against Rhyl and Halton were the highlights of the day.
Results:
Won 5 - 1 against Rhyl
Draw 3 - 3 against Ramsbottom
Lost 5 - 1 against Anfield A
Won 4 - 2 against Halton C
Lost 4 - 2 against N/F&GRD
“I’m very pleased with the way all our players have applied themselves and carried the practice routines that we do in training into their performances today” said head coach David Hulme.
