William Gregson makes NW selection

Stockport Table Tennis Academy junior William Gregson to represent the North West at the 2014 National Championships.
Ten year-old William Gregson this weekend made it through to the English National Championships in the under 11s and 12s age group. The Championships take place in Doncaster on 31 May and 1 June.

William qualified through regional trials this weekend at Halton, competing against the brightest young table tennis players in the region. It's the second year running that the ten year-old has qualified for the finals in both the under 11s and under 12s.
William Gregson started playing table tennis aged seven and is a founding member of Stockport Table Tennis Academy. He competes for STTA in the National Junior League, National Cadet League and the local Manchester League. In 2014 he won his first U11s Junior Open in Blackpool.
Stockport Table Tennis Academy is currently looking to recruit beginner players, aged 7 up, who would like to try table tennis. Beginners training takes place on Tuesdays 5.15 pm to 6.45 pm and Thursdays 6 pm to 7 pm. Apply online and one of our team will be in touch.
